CDL Program Objectives:

b. To develop the skills necessary for safe operation of commercial motor vehicles and related equipment within the trucking industry

.c. To develop the proper work ethics and attitudes needed to be a successful professional in the Truck Driving Industry.

 

 

CDL Course Objectives:

 

a Demonstrates acquired driving skills by passing the State of New York CDL drivers examination and obtaining a Commercial Driver License.

b. Understands the responsibilities of the professional driver to both the public and his/her employers.

c. Possesses the necessary knowledge and confidence to take charge
of his/her career to the satisfaction of employers and self.

Note:

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, overall job opportunities look favorable for truck drivers, especially for long haul drivers. In addition to occupational growth, numerous job openings will occur as experienced truck drivers leave this large occupation to retire, or leave the labor force all together.
